Our state-of-the-art instrument generates alternating current to produce eddy currents on the work-piece surface via the detection coil. These eddy currents create a magnetic field that impacts the coil's electrical impedance. When surface defects or material discontinuities exist, the original eddy current field is disrupted, altering the coil's impedance. The instrument processes these impedance changes, captured by the measuring probe, to automatically detect defects with unparalleled precision.
